Dr Peter Bray
Dr Peter Bray was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, graduating with an MBBS from the University of Western Australia (UWA). Peter undertook extensive vascular and endovascular training throughout Australia (including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) in Sydney and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne) and internationally before being awarded Vascular Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Following, Peter undertook additional training in complex endovascular aneurysm repair and carotid stenting at Ashford Hospital (Adelaide), Lake Macquarie Hospital (Newcastle) and Epworth Hospital (Melbourne).
A well-respected member of the Vascular & Endovascular Surgical community in Australia, Peter is Head of Department of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at St John of God Hospital Subiaco. He is a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at St John of God Subiaco, St John of God Midland (Public and Private) and Hollywood Private Hospitals. Peter previously held the position of Head of Department and Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (Nedlands), where he worked for 20 years.
Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Vascular), Member of the Australian & New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgeons (ANZSVS), the Australasian College of Phlebology and the Australia New Zealand Society of Phlebology. Peter is a past Vascular Representative for the State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and currently a member of a number of working and advisory committees with the ANZSVS.

Peter’s special interests include surgical and endovascular management of cerebrovascular disease, complex aortic endovascular intervention, and state of the art endovascular management of peripheral vascular disease.

Peter communicates and collaborates closely with all members of a patient’s medical team and is passionate in his commitment to providing the most appropriate treatment for each person.

Peter has provided mentorship and training for many local, national and international Vascular Surgeons and continues his commitment to providing the best in healthcare now and into the future for vascular patients across Western Australia.
Peter is also a devoted husband and hands-on father of two boys and enjoys playing tennis and honing his tractor driving skills as he helps out at his family’s farm in the Perth Hills.
